About

Sometimes things can go wrong with Xojo's compilation process. And hey, it happens to all of us! When it does, a common debug step is to clear the Xojo cache.

Windows

Xojo has two location on Windows where you must delete files. The first is the Roaming AppData folder for your user account, and the second is the Local Temp folder for your user account.

Roaming AppData

  1. Open a new File Explorer window
  2. In the Path bar, type %AppData%\Xojo
  3. In this folder you will see subdirectories with version names, such as 2017.021.00.fc.28029
  4. Delete all similarly named folders

Local Temp

  1. Open a new File Explorer window
  2. In the Path bar, type %Temp%
  3. In this folder you will see subdirectories named xojo scratch, usually followed by a series of numbers
  4. Delete all folders with a name like xojo scratch

MacOS

MacOS has one location where you must delete file/directories.

Library Caches

  1. From the Desktop, click Go in the MenuBar and select Go to Folder…
  2. In the resulting dialog, enter ~/Library/Caches/Xojo
  3. Delete all subdirectories with a name like 2017.02.00.fc.37811
